Superior Equipment Sales is the largest distributor of Goodman equipment in Virginia with one of the largest inventories (150+ product lines) of HVAC parts and accessories in the state. Our Chesapeake branch includes a 25,000 square foot warehouse and serves as our main administrative hub and biggest showroom. This branch serves Chesapeake, VA and the surrounding areas including Norfolk, Portsmouth, and Virginia Beach, as well as northeast North Carolina as far south as Nags Head.

RJ Chappelear

Branch Manager

RJ joined Superior in 2014 after 12 years of experience delivering and installing appliances. He was promoted to counter sales two years later, then to Warehouse Manager in January of 2020. He was promoted again in September 2020 to Hampton Branch Manager and in 2023 to Chesapeake Branch Manager. He brings exceptional customer service experience, having come in first in customer surveys out of a field of 12,000 delivery agents at his former company. A native of Toledo, Ohio, RJ moved to the Hampton Roads area in 2009 and spends his free time with his two boys at home in Virginia Beach.
