For the fourth year in a row, Superior Equipment Sales, Inc., took home “The EVPY - Exceptional Preferred Vendor Support Yearly” Award from BLUE HAWK purchasing cooperative. The award was presented last week at the national conference in Dallas, TX.
This award is given to the top 10 percent of members based on how many vendor partners their purchases support. Superior Equipment Sales was tied for tenth place, purchasing from 70 Blue Hawk Vendor Partners during 2015.
Superior is among 222 member companies at 1,327 locations across the country.
"The opportunity to work with the BLUE HAWK purchasing cooperative allows us to provide our customers a wider variety of products," said Superior CEO Mike Healy. "It also allows us access to the discount volume pricing that comes with a larger pool of customers. This allows us to provide competitive pricing to our customers."
BLUE HAWK is a purchasing cooperative of HVACR Distributors, with core product categories of air conditioning, heating, ventilation, hydronics, tools, supplies and accessories.
According to its website, “BLUE HAWK was established to ensure the survival and growth of the Independent HVAC/R/R Distributor. The existence of BLUE HAWK allows independent businesses to use their combined purchasing power to attain competitive pricing for the goods and services they use."
At a time when the relentless expansion of manufacturer owned distributor networks and large corporation-owned distributor chains is intensifying, independently owned operations have turned to BLUE HAWK to help level the playing field with these large competitors.
